The End?

I suppose at some stage we have to draw a line under the project and call it a day. I've been waiting to post the final few pictures, because I considered that everything was done when the flooring was complete in the kitchen, sun room and lounge.

We've left the flooring as late as possible, to give the screed floor a chance to dry out properly. So, the flooring was all sorted this week. There are still little things to sort, such as doors planing and then waxing, some skirting to be painted, a splashback behind the hob, but won't there always be?

As we start a new chapter in our lives with the imminent arrival of Dransfield Junior II, I think it's probably time to officially draw this blog to a close. We've almost forgotten the seriously dark and depressing days during the project. However, should we ever contemplate any future project, I hope this blog will serve as a reminder about how truly hideous an experience it was at times.

Now it's time to start enjoying our enlarged family. Spring is here, and everything is looking up.
